Florida Lotto Help & Information

Florida Lotto tickets first went on sale on April 29th, 1988 with the first draw taking place on May 7th, 1988. By August 31st of the same year this lottery produced a $52 million jackpot that was a new national and world record at the time. The original game saw players having to select six numbers from forty-nine with the lottery draws taking place on a Saturday night at 11pm. At inception players who managed to match all six numbers didn't have the option of a cash payment but were paid out in 20 yearly instalments. October 1998 saw the cash option added to the Florida Lotto and in November of the same year the annuity payments extended to 30 years instead of the previous 20 yearly instalments.
