Store is lucky for Ohio Lottery winners

Sunday January 24th 2010

More than one lottery winner in the same town although not unheard of, is extremely rare but the prospect of the same store selling more than one winning lottery ticket must be beyond belief. This is exactly what has happened as one store is lucky for Ohio Lottery winners after selling two six figure winning lottery tickets, in the same week to two lucky Fairborn residents.

The tickets were purchased from Smokes for Less, 97 W. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road last week and the two wins came from two different Ohio Lottery games.

After purchasing a Special Edition Cashword game card, Joseph R Patrick scooped $100,000 win on the Ohio Lottery. This then followed a win for Laura Allen who won a massive $120,000 on a Rolling Cash 5 game. Although this lucky winner did not buy lottery tickets from the same store, there was also a third win in the same area least week. A winning $100,000 Kicker ticket from the Ohio Lottery was also sold on 12 January, at Dot’s Supermarket in Kettering, although this player has yet to come forward to claim their lottery win.

The two winning tickets sold at Smokes for Less, mean the retailer will receive a $1,500 bonus for selling them while Patrick will take home $69,000 after federal taxes and Allen slightly more at $82,800.

In the mean time, if you are a lottery player who purchased one of the Kicker tickets from the store in question on 12th January and not yet checked your ticket, now might be a good time as you could be sitting on a $100,000 lottery win without even realising
