Mega Millions Jackpot Reaches $118 Million
The Mega Millions jackpot now stands at an incredible $118 million for Friday’s draw after no ticket holders in Tuesday’s Mega Millions draw managed to match the jackpot winning combination. The winning numbers drawn in the Mega Millions draw for Tuesday May 1st 2012 were (24) (27) (31) (45) (52) with the Megaball (38) and the Megaplier number was (4). Although there were no jackpot winners in Tuesday’s Mega Millions there were six ticket holders who matched all the numbers except the Megaball so took home a match 5 prize of $250,000 each.
The Mega Millions jackpot has been rolling for a month after no one has been lucky enough to scoop the jackpot. The last time the Mega Millions top prize was won was March 30th 2012 when the jackpot reached a record breaking $656 million that was claimed by three individual winners from Illinois, Maryland and Kansas. The winners from Illinois were revealed as Merle and Patricia Butler whereas the Maryland and Kansas winners opted to stay anonymous with their Mega Millions jackpot win.
