Texas Lottery waits for winner

Saturday August 14th 2010

A winning lottery ticket worth more than $4.1 that was purchased this week has not yet been claimed. The Texas Lottery waits for the winner to come forward but fear that it may be a visitor to the state as the winning ticket was purchased at La Tienita, a retail outlet at a bus terminal. Although the bus terminal sees six local routes begin and end there the Texas Lottery now fear that the ticket may belong to a visitor due to the fact that other routes include North Mexico and central Texas.

The winning numbers for the draw in question were 4, 21, 24, 40, 43 and 48 and this particular draw took place on Wednesday. The Texas Lottery are concerned that the winner could now be anywhere in the US but the lottery prize will need to be claimed in Austin. It is doubtful that anyone winning this amount of money on the Texas Lottery would object to travelling any distance to claim this amount money. In fact many of us would be prepared to travel halfway around the world to collect a multi million lottery prize.

The lucky winner has 180 days from the date of the lottery draw in which to make their claim. Any Texas Lottery prizes that remain unclaimed will see the first $10 million each year awarded to the medical branch and the rest go to the states general fund.

So if you bought lotto ticket from the store in question then make sure you check them carefully to see if you are the lucky winner sitting on a multi million lottery prize.
