Cash 5

Sales for Jersey Cash 5 began in September 1992 and original this New Jersey Lottery game only held draws on weekdays. In October 2001 this was increased to include draws on a Saturday and Sunday and the original matrix was 5/38.

At this point the Jersey Cash 5 game did not offer rollovers but roll down options whereby if a jackpot winner was not found then the prize pool rolled down to the next prize tier. This was changed in September 2003 to allow the game to rollover and additional two numbers were added to the matrix making it 5/40. The odds of winning a prize are as follows:

Prize Level Odds of Winning Prize amount
Match 5 1 in 658,008 Jackpot
Match 4 1 in 3,760 $500 (approx.)
Match 3 1 in 111 $11 (approx.)
