To win a prize on Daily 3, you have to match all three of the numbers that are drawn and fulfil the conditions of your playstyle.
If you play a Straight, you only win if you match all three numbers in drawn-order. For a Box, you win by matching all three numbers no matter what order they're in. If you play a Straight/Box, your wager is split between both play types, so you can win both the Straight part of the prize and the Box part if your numbers appear in exact order, or just the Box portion if they are drawn in a different order.
