SuperLotto Plus is an exciting California lottery game with two draws a week and nine ways to win. The jackpot starts off at $7 million and keeps rolling over until someone wins! There is no cap on the amount the jackpot can grow to and the largest Californian SuperLotto win was an awesome $193 million in February 2002.
Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 7:57 PM PT. Ticket sales close at 7:45 PM, shortly before the draw takes place.
SuperLotto Plus has nine prize tiers, and the minimum jackpot value is $7 million. Win the top prize by matching all five numbers plus the Mega number! To win any other prize, all you need to do is match one main number plus the Mega number, or even just the Mega number alone.
In the table, "pari-mutuel" is listed in the prize column for most prize tiers. This means that the prize amount changes from draw-to-draw, depending on the ticket sales and the number of winners for that prize level. Due to California laws, the majority of CA Lottery prizes work this way. To get an idea of what the prizes are like for each level, we'd recommend having a quick browse of the Past SuperLotto Draws on our website.

To play, choose five numbers from 1 to 47, plus an additional Mega number from 1 to 27. You can choose your own numbers or let Quick Pick select them automatically for you.
To make sure that you don’t miss out on an upcoming draw, you can use the Advance Play option to enter 2-8, 16, or 20 consecutive draws.
Tickets cost $1 per play, and you can make up to five plays using a single playslip. After you pay, you will receive a ticket. This is your receipt, so take good care of it. Check the numbers shown for accuracy and sign the back of the ticket. It's also recommended to sign your tickets.
Your ticket will also have a SuperLotto Plus 2nd Chance code. For every $1 you spend, you receive one entry code for the weekly SuperLotto Plus 2nd Chance draw for one of five $15,000 prizes!
For instance, if you spend $5 on SuperLotto Plus tickets, your 2nd Chance code will give you five entries into the 2nd Chance draw. The 2nd Chance draws are held weekly, with an entry deadline of 11:59 PM PT on Saturday. Drawings are held within five business days of the entry deadline.
Always remember to submit your SuperLotto Plus 2nd Chance code before redeeming a winning ticket.
Prizes of $599 and above are subject to federal taxes. However, the state of California does not tax lottery winnings.
Yes, provided there are 100 people or fewer in the lottery pool.
By default, jackpot prizes are paid in 30 annual instalments (annuity). However, the winner has 60 days after their claim is approved to choose the cash value of the prize as an alternative. This will be less than the advertised jackpot, because the advertised jackpot reflects the value of the prize as an annuity invested over time.
If the jackpot is being paid as an annuity, the winner's estate will continue to receive the annual payments.
You must be 18 or older to play California Lottery games.
You can still play games like SuperLotto Plus, Powerball, and Mega Millions even if you're not living in the United States. Visit the Tickets page for more information about an online service that can help you buy tickets.
