DC 4 is a District original game with lots of ways to play and cash prizes ranging from $100 to $5,000. There are three drawings a Day - at 1:50 PM, 7:50 PM, and 11:30 PM (ET) - so the next chance to win is never too far away! Learn everything you need to know about this four-digit game.
The top prize for DC 4 is $5,000 for a $1 Straight bet, or $2,500 for a $0.50 Straight bet. The minimum prize is $200 for a $1 Box bet, or $100 for a $0.50 Box bet.

There are a few bet types to choose from – Straight, Box, Front Three, or Back Three. See the Bet Types section for more details.
Pick up a bet slip and mark one number from 0 through 9 on each column - four digits in total, with duplicates allowed. The five boards marked A through E are one play each. Alternatively, mark Quick Pick to have the lottery terminal randomly choose your numbers.
Select how much you'd like to bet: $0.50 or $1. A $0.50 wager has a top prize of $2,500, and a $1 wager has a top prize of $5,000.
Select which draw(s) to play: Day, Evening, Night, or All. With Multi-Draw, you can play your favorite numbers from two to seven consecutive draws; mark the number of draws in the Days area. Advance Play lets you enter a future draw up to seven days in advance. Choose the day and draw time, or if you want to play more than once, let the retailer know your start and end dates.
Purchase your entries before the cut-off time. Your final ticket cost is determined by your wager times the number of plays and draws you've selected.
Straight - Match all four numbers drawn in exact order.
Box - Match all four numbers drawn in any order.
Straight/Box - Win both parts of the prize if you match the numbers exactly, or just the Box prize if you get the numbers in a different order.
Front or Back Three - Match the first or last three numbers drawn in exact order.
Box plays can be 4-, 6-, 12-, or 24-Way, depending on how many identical or unique digits you choose, which affects how many ways you can match the numbers drawn to win. See the prize table below for details.
For an extra $0.50 per play, iLottery players can add the Lucky Sum option for more ways to win (not available for in-store players). If the four numbers you pick add up to the same total as the four numbers that are drawn, you win a prize even if the actual numbers aren’t the same. For example, you could play 1234 (sum of 10) and the winning numbers could be 9100 (sum of 10).
You must buy tickets for the Day draw by 1:49 PM ET. The cut-off time for the Evening draw is 7:49 PM ET, and for the Night draw it is 11:29 PM ET.
You must be at least 18 years old to play any DC Lottery game.
All prizes in the District of Columbia must be claimed within 180 days of the draw date.
