The winner of the US$590 million Powerball jackpot has come forward to claim her prize. Mrs MacKenzie, who is a widowed mother of four, turned up to collect her prize from the lottery headquarters in Florida with her son and two attorneys. She did not give an interview to the waiting reporters but did issue the following statement "We are grateful with this blessing of winning the Florida Lottery Powerball jackpot. We hope that everyone would give us the opportunity to maintain our privacy for our family's benefit."

Mrs MacKenzie’s lawyers took two hours completing the necessary paperwork before she and her family returned to her home, a modest tin roofed house in the small town of Zephyrhills.

Lottery.net wish Gloria and her family all the best with her newfound wealth. If you would like to play for a chance of following in Gloria’s winning footsteps, the next Powerball draw takes place on Saturday 8th June 2013 and has a jackpot of US$60 million.
