After no players could match the winning numbers drawn in last night’s California SuperLotto Plus game, the jackpot for this state lottery has risen to an incredible $47 million. Last night’s winning numbers were 27, 29, 30, 37 and 44 with Mega Ball 8. While no winners landed in the first two prize tiers, 11 participants did match four main numbers and the Mega Ball to win $2,308 each.

The top prize in this incredible California lottery game has been rolling over since Saturday 7th February, when a single ticket holder in LA County grabbed $14 million after buying their ticket from Mary’s Little House of Coffee in Glendale. Before that, two ticket holders on Saturday, January 10th split a jackpot of $7 million while Michael Liu won $11 million in the preceding drawing on the 7th, taking home a cash sum of $7.1 million before tax. What a great way to start your year!

State lottery games can often offer jackpots rivalling those of Powerball and Mega Millions. In November 2014, Carolyn Bell, a resident of Alabama, won a life-changing $48 million Florida Lotto jackpot, stopping five months of rollovers. She opted to take the cash sum, bringing in a tidy one-time paycheck of $32.6 million.

In May 2014, a tiny convenience store in Cuero, Texas, sold a winning ticket for a $36 million Lotto Texas jackpot, which was claimed in August of that same year by the Victoria Partnership. The Stripes store lucked out too, landing a retailer bonus of $362,500!

If you think you can put a stop to the rollovers and become the fourth SuperLotto Plus winner of 2015, make sure you buy tickets for Saturday’s drawing. Those in the Glendale area may want to make a pit stop at Mary’s House of Coffee to see if the good luck rubs off on them!
