The 19-year-old started off by buying a $5 Power 5 scratch-off ticket from a gas station in Paso Robles, and was astonished to discover that it was worth $555,555. Speaking to lottery officials, she admitted it was quite an emotional experience. “I was so nervous I just wanted to cry,” she said.

Feeling lucky, Rosa decided to play again just a few days later. This time she purchased a $5 Lucky Fortune Scratcher from a Valero gas station in Monterey County, and netted another $100,000. She quickly came forward to the California Lottery’s East Bay District Office in Hayward to claim her $655,555, although that will be subject to tax deductions.

Rosa revealed to California Lottery officials that she planned to use the money to go shopping and buy herself a new car, while the two prizes are also sure to set her up financially for the rest of her life.

Rosa has a wide choice of lottery games to enjoy in California, including SuperLotto Plus, Powerball and Mega Millions. If you would like some of her good fortune to come your way, you can also get involved by going to any authorized retailer or picking lottery numbers online. Best of luck!
