Idaho considered luckiest state to play lotteryFriday May 27th 2011
In its 22 year history, over the last five months the Idaho Lottery has had its best run ever in terms of big winners. Idaho is considered the luckiest state to play lottery games after recent months have seen three $1 million winners on the PowerBall as well as a jackpot winner on the Wild Card and another on the MegaMillions and that is without looking at other lower, but significant lottery wins.
The Idaho Lottery Director says ‘since December 2010, Idaho ranks number one per capita for big winners on multi state jackpot games.’ This of course is not including the other games that are offered by the Idaho Lottery.
The big draw games offered by the Idaho Lottery are the two multi state lottery games PowerBall and MegaMillions. Along with Wild Card and Hot Lotto. Looking at lottery wins of $200,000 and above it has been found that the Idaho Lottery ranks 5th per capita against 44 other North American jurisdictions that participate in lottery games. However, regarding wins of $500,000 or more, the Idaho Lottery ranks number one.
After looking at all of these statistics for this period, the Idaho Lottery has found that there have been seven players who have won at $250,000 or over. A total of six players have won more than $600,000 four have won $1 million or more. There has been one big winner for the Idaho Lottery since December 2010 who won in excess of $100 million.
So if you like to take all the luck that is going when you play the lottery, you might like to consider buying a lotto ticket in Idaho.
