Thursday April 27th 2017

Lottery fans in Nebraska will soon be able to enjoy Lucky for Life after officials announced plans to introduce the game in the state later this summer. Lucky for Life, which rewards winning tickets with up to $1,000 a day for life, is already offered in 23 states across the US and Nebraska’s Lottery Director Brian Rockey is confident that local players will love the unique prize structure.

The game is set to be launched in Nebraska on August 20th, and will give local players the opportunity to win amazing sums of money twice a week. Drawings take place on Monday and Thursday evenings, with participants required to select five numbers from 1 to 48 and one Lucky Ball from 1 to 18. There are ten different ways to win, and more information can be found on the Lucky for Life page.

“There are many details yet to be determined, but we are excited to add Lucky for Life to our product lineup,” said Rockey. “The prizes are unique and contrast well with our existing Lotto games. We think our players will appreciate the opportunity to win a prize that will last their lifetime. Plus, a portion of every ticket sold goes to support good causes across Nebraska.”

The Nebraska Lottery has raised over $637 million for good causes since being established in 1993, generating money to help the environment, education, the Nebraska State Fair, and the Compulsive Gamblers Assistance program. The funds have gone towards worthy projects in all 93 of Nebraska’s countries, and the launch of Lucky for Life will only boost the work that can be done in the state.

The game is also set to create lots of big winners, just like the lucky lady from South Carolina who recently won the second prize of $25,000 a year for life. She chose the one-off cash alternative of $390,000, and has now revealed that she plans to go house hunting. “Besides my wedding day, this is the happiest day of my life,” she told the South Carolina Education Lottery.

Lucky for Life will continue to give players in participating states the chance to win great prizes twice a week, and it will not be long before fans in Nebraska can join the fun. To enjoy other multi-state games such as Powerball or Mega Millions, you can also choose your numbers online as well as visiting authorised retailers.
