Mega Millions Jackpot Rolls to $230 MillionWednesday November 27th 2013
Mega Millions fever is running high across America as, for the first time in 20 months, the Mega Millions jackpot has surpassed $200 million. Friday’s jackpot is now worth $230 million due to 16 successive draws with no top prize winners.
The Mega Millions numbers drawn last night were 27, 44, 59, 74 and 75 with the Mega Ball 3 and the Megaplier 5. The first winning prize tier was Match 5 which saw a total of five tickets, purchased in Florida (1), Illinois (1), New York (2) and Texas (1), each win $1 million. However, the ticket holder from Texas opted for the Megaplier and saw their win increase to $5 million.
This Mega Millions jackpot is now the highest seen so far this year and also the largest since March 2012, when the jackpot hit a record-breaking $656 million. With such a large jackpot at stake, tickets are certain to be in high demand so players are advised to purchase their tickets in plenty of time for Friday’s draw.

Tonight’s Powerball jackpot is worth $60 million as ticket holders in the previous two draws have failed to match all five main numbers and the Powerball drawn to win the jackpot. The last time the Powerball jackpot was won was on November 16 when one ticket, purchased at Rocco’s Bakery in Brighton Beach, New York, matched all six numbers drawn to win the $130.3 million jackpot. The owner of this winning ticket has yet to come forward and claim their prize.
