National Lottery winner to keep on driving bus

Despite the fact that he now has enough money to drive a top-of-the-range Lamborghini, a British lottery millionaire has decided that he’s happiest behind the wheel of a double-decker bus. Kevin Halstead won £2.3million on the National Lottery in March 2010, but after spending the last 12 months enjoying his money and taking a luxury cruise, he has decided to go back to work as a bus driver.

According to a report by the Mirror newspaper, the 47-year-old said: "I do miss working on the buses. When you have been doing something for 17 years and then you suddenly stop, it does seem strange. It's the banter me and my mates had that I miss more than anything."

Mr Halstead plans to return to his bus route which runs between Bolton and Preston on a casual basis.

And it seems that his good fortune is rubbing off on others. His mother decided to buy lottery tickets last month and scooped £2,500 after matching five numbers. If she had managed to match just one more she’d have pocketed £10million.
