National Lottery winner still to claim £191k prizeTuesday February 22nd 2011
A lottery winner who bought a ticket in the London borough of Bexley over two weeks ago has yet to claim their prize. The player managed to match five numbers and the bonus ball in the February 5 draw, netting themselves £191,303. The winning numbers were 33, 34, 37, 40, 41, 47 and the bonus ball was 5.
If the person is still trying to come to terms with their big win, they don’t have to worry about losing out on the money just yet. They have until August 4 to come forward and validate a claim – after that the cash and any accumulated interest will be automatically transferred into the lottery’s good causes fund.
A spokesperson for the UK lottery said organisers have got champagne on ice in anticipation of the winner coming forward.
He said: "We are desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody's life.
"We're urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding."
Over in America, a FANTASY 5 jackpot-winning lottery ticket bought in Pompano Beach, Florida, is also about to expire. The ticket's owner has until midnight on Wednesday (23) to come forward and claim their $56,000 prize before they lose it forever.
