One winner for MegaMillionsMonday August 8th 2011
The lottery world has been keeping a close eye on both US multi state lottery games this week as both were boasting two of the biggest jackpots in the world at the time. There was one winner for the MegaMillions on the draw that took place on Friday, who came from Ohio and scooped a fantastic $99 million prize. No details of the winner have been released at this time and it is not even sure if this lucky MegaMillions winner has yet claimed their win.
There were also six players who bagged a $250,000 prize by matching five main numbers on the MegaMillions. These lottery players were from Arizona, California, Missouri, New Jersey, New York and Wisconsin. The MegaMillions will now return to its starting point for the next draw and offer a $12 million jackpot for the next draw.
Lottery players in the US can still play for one of the biggest jackpots in the world next week as although the MegaMillions jackpot has been won, the other multi state game PowerBall, continued to roll after there was yet again no jackpot winner at the weekend. The next draw which takes place on Wednesday 8th August will be offering a monster $220 million jackpot. When we see a jackpot of this size if isn’t just lottery players in the US that get excited. We often find that the ticket buying frenzy spreads across the world and if you want to avoid the rush, buy lottery tickets either online or as soon as you can.
