Players' excitement has led to strong sales nationwide, driving the grand prize to a whopping $630 million after no one took home the jackpot on Monday.
Your next chance to win is tonight, Wednesday, January 7 at 10:59 pm ET. The jackpot has a cash value of $448.4 million, if the winner decided not to take the annuity option.
You can pick up Powerball tickets in 45 states plus Washington DC, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Many folks who don't live in one of these areas are still eligible to play online.
The last time the Powerball jackpot was hit was on October 4, when a single winner in California took home the $699.8 million prize, the fifth-largest in the game's history and seventh-largest in US lottery history. The lucky Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Albertsons grocery on Quintana Road in Morro Bay.
Winner Scott Godfrey stepped forward in December to claim the payout, saying he'd already set up a charitable foundation to put the money to good use.

Mega Millions Rolls to $278 Million
This week also brings another chance to win big, after the Mega Millions jackpot rolled over after its last draw on Tuesday night, climbing to $278 million for the next draw on Friday, January 7.
