The winning numbers for July 18 were 13, 17, 22, 28 and 40, with a Star Ball of 3. The All Star Bonus was 2X, doubling the value of payouts for thousands of ticket holders who added this multiplier option.

There were more than 76,000 prizes given away in total, and one lucky participant took home the lion’s share after matching all the numbers. The Winning Numbers page for July 18 has a breakdown of the number of winners for each prize category, including payouts by state.

What Next For The Winner?

The Minnesota Lottery announced after the draw that the jackpot-winning ticket was sold at the Holiday StationStore at 601 Coon Rapids Boulevard in Coon Rapids.

The winner now has one year from the draw date to come forward and claim their money. They must decide whether to take the $34.12 million as an annuity, paid out in 30 installments over 29 years, or go for the one-time lump sum option of $15.15 million.

No more information will be disclosed if the winner wishes to keep their identity private, although they can opt in to publicity if they are happy to share their story.

Biggest Lotto America Jackpots

It is the largest Lotto America jackpot ever won in Minnesota, eclipsing the $22.8 million that went to the Kujava family from the town of Badger in March 2018, shortly after the game launched in November 2017.

There have only been two bigger wins in Lotto America history. Earl Lape from Dubuque, Iowa, pocketed $40 million on April 1, 2023, while an anonymous player from Tennessee won $37.37 million on June 7, 2025.

A $4.01 million jackpot was won in South Dakota on August 6, 2025, before the long run of draws without a winner set up the latest huge prize. If the jackpot had rolled for another few weeks, it may have created a new Lotto America record.

Lotto America offers more favorable odds of winning the jackpot than rival multi-state lotteries such as Powerball or Mega Millions, as you are only required to pick five numbers from 1 to 52, plus a Star Ball between 1 and 10.

It costs $1 per play, plus an extra $1 if you want to add the All Star Bonus multiplier feature. There are lots of ways to win, and it is currently played in 16 participating states. Go to the Lotto America page to learn more, and check out the results every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night as soon as draws take place.
