Game Information

Arkansas residents can buy tickets for Powerball, Mega Millions and Lucky for Life, but they also have in-state lottery games that they can play:

The Natural State Jackpot offers players the chance to win a home-grown cash prize! Drawings are held from Monday through Saturday at 8:00 PM. The jackpot starts at $25,000 and will roll over and increase in value by $5,000 each time a drawing passes without a jackpot winner. Players pay $1 for a ticket and choose five numbers from 1 to 39. Numbers can also be randomly generated if players mark the "Quick Pick" box on the playslip. Here's how it works:

Winning Tier Prize Odds of Winning
Match 5 of 5 Jackpot 1 in 575,757
Match 4 of 5 $300 1 in 3,387
Match 3 of 5 $7 1 in 103
Match 2 of 5 $1 1 in 10
Odds of winning any Natural State Jackpot prize are 1 in 9

Other Arkansas Lottery games include Cash 3, Cash 4 and Fast Play.

The Arkansas Lottery also offers instant games which can be purchased from any authorized retailer. Simply scratch off the covering to see if you've landed a big cash prize! Ticket prices start at $1 and can offer up top prizes from $100 up to $2 million.

Claiming Arkansas Lottery Prizes

You've matched all five numbers in the Natural State Jackpot or uncovered a massive windfall on an instant game. Once you've taken a deep breath, you can start thinking about how to claim your prize. Players have just 180 days after the date of a drawing to claim any prizes and all instant game prizes must be claimed within 90 days of the end-of-game date.

Prizes worth $500 or less can be claimed at any Arkansas Lottery retailer and prizes under $1 million can be claimed by mail or by visiting the Claim Center in Little Rock. All prizes worth £1 million or more must be claimed in Little Rock.

All prizes worth $5,000 or greater will be subject to a federal tax of 25 percent and the state of Arkansas will levy an additional tax of seven percent.

History of the Arkansas Lottery

The Arkansas Lottery was established in late 2008 and began selling tickets for Powerball on October 31st, 2009, with state residents participating in their first Powerball drawing on November 4th, 2009. Mega Millions tickets went on sale in Arkansas on January 31st, 2010.

To date, over 168,000 Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarships have been awarded to students pursuing their dreams of earning a higher education. Without the revenue raised from Arkansas Lottery ticket sales, this impressive statistic wouldn't be possible.
