Pick 4
Pick 4 plus Fireball is a game that's exclusive to the Illinois Lottery. Two draws are held daily, seven days a week - just choose four lucky numbers, pick a play type, and you can win up to $2,500 for a $0.50 play, and up to $5,000 for a $1 play. Add the plus Fireball option for an extra number and even more ways to win.
The Midday draw takes place every afternoon at 12:40 PM CT and the Evening draw is held nightly at 9:22 PM. Sales close at 12:35 PM and 9:15 PM, so pick up your tickets before then to play the next draw.
How to Play
All you need to do is choose four numbers from 0 to 9 and mark one per row, or select Quick Pick and the lottery computer will randomly choose your numbers.
To play the same numbers for multiple days, select how many days you wish to play: 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6.
Choose the draw you want to enter: Midday, Evening, or Both (selection will apply to all days).
Pick your play type depending on how you want your numbers to match the numbers drawn. All play types except Straight can be 4-Way, 6-Way, 12-Way or 24-Way depending on the number of winning combinations of your digits. For example, if you play the Box type and choose three identical numbers, like 1112, you are playing 4-Way Box. If you choose all four unique numbers, like 1234, you are playing 24-Way Box.
- Straight: Match all four numbers in exact order
- Box: Match all four numbers in any order.
- Combo: Made up of all Straight combinations of four numbers, so Combo plays have a higher cost.
- Straight/Box: Match all four numbers in exact OR any order
Select your wager amount - from $0.50 to $5.00 per play. On a $0.50 bet, you can win up to $2,500, and for $1, you can win up to $5,000. Combo plays are more expensive because they use every Straight combination.
Plus Fireball
The plus Fireball optional add-on for your ticket provides one more number drawn and extra ways to win. Plus Fireball doubles your bet amount per game.
