Megabucks

Megabucks is a Tri-State Lottery game played in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, with a rolling jackpot that starts at $1 million and continues to grow until it's won. Tickets cost $2 and draws are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evening at 7:59 PM ET; ticket sales close at 7:50 PM on draw nights. How to Play

Pick up a Tri-State Megabucks play slip from an authorized retailer and choose five numbers from 1 to 41 on the top section of a panel, plus one Megaball number from 1 to 6 on the bottom section. Each play costs $2 and you may play up to five times on a play slip.

To start playing even faster, mark the Easy Pick (EP) / Quick Pick (QP) box to have the lottery computer randomly choose any or all of your numbers.

Multi-draw is the most convenient way to play up to 20 draws in a row - mark the number of draws you'd like to enter. Your ticket cost will increase according to how many panels and draws you play; the maximum ticket value is $100.

Purchase your ticket by the 7:50 PM cut-off time on draw nights, then check your numbers after the draw to see if you've scored a prize. To win the jackpot, match all six numbers drawn.

Megabucks Prizes and Odds of Winning

Below you'll find the payouts and chances of winning a Megabucks prize on a $2 play. There are nine ways to take home a cash prize and good overall odds of winning of 1 in 6.

Match all five main numbers plus the Megaball to win the top prize. Jackpot winners can receive their payout as a single cash amount, or in annuity installments with payments each year. Winners have 60 days after a jackpot-winning ticket is validated to choose one of these options.

Megabucks winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize before it expires.
