The ticket hit the SuperLotto top prize on December 26 when it matched all six numbers drawn: 4, 6, 16, 19, 32 and the Mega Ball 2.

The ticket was purchased in South San Jose at Cafe Paradise, located at 2400 Monterey Highway. The cafe will be paid a $90,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

There's no limit to how large the SuperLotto jackpot can grow - the highest prize ever won was $193 million in 2002.

There were an additional four big SuperLotto winners on Saturday who hit $8,699 each for matching the five main numbers. Two of the tickets were sold at the same 7-Eleven in Vallejo, Solano County - no word yet on whether they were purchased by the same person. In total, 96,179 players won prizes in the draw.

A few doors down from Cafe Paradise at the AM/PM store and Chevron station, word of the jackpot win had gotten out, and Lotto tickets were practically flying off the shelves as locals vied to hit another holiday jackpot.

"I've been in this neighborhood over 30 years. It's not mine!" Freddie Sidbury laughed. "Boy! That's amazing."

The winner has not yet made contact to claim the amazing jackpot, and Sidbury wasn't surprised. "I don’t blame 'em. I’d wait until I could find a way to do it secretly. You know how things are today. You're going to create a lot of relatives that you didn't have before!"

According to California Lottery spokeswoman Carolyn Becker, "the timeline for someone to come forward is always varying. You know, sometimes people don't realize they win. Sometimes they realize right away but they want to think about their next step very carefully. I encourage that."

The new multimillionaire is certainly not alone in trying their lottery luck recently, with ticket sales soaring. "Just last week, we actually hit an all-time high for Scratcher sales in one week," Becker said.

A typical week for the California Lottery would see sales of 90 million Scratchers tickets - but last week, players bought 129 million. Winners are also reaping the rewards with big payouts. "We have recently, here in the Sacramento area, one person who won $10 million playing a Scratcher," Becker said.
