€41 million jackpot for EuroMillions

Tuesday January 5th 2010

Hopes were high for this European lottery game on New Years Day in that the double rollover jackpot that it boasted was a double roll over of £25 million which would have been a great start to the New Year if it had produced at least one lottery millionaire at the start of 2010. The fact that that there was no winner for the New Years Day lottery drawing means a €41 million jackpot for EuroMillions is up for grabs on Friday 8th January.

Of course, we mustn’t forget that the UK side of the EuroMillions Lottery has now added the Millionaire Raffle game which creates a millionaire every single week in the UK. However, lottery players who play the EuroMillions outside of the UK, would have liked to have seen a winner on the main game to start 2010 on a high.

So there is everything to play for this Friday and  players will still buy lottery tickets for the EuroMillions as they always have as the jackpot continues to rise.

There are other lottery games that are also worth watching over the next few days too. Obviously the SuperEnalotto is going to be the lottery game which brings the most excitement with its current jackpot of €115.6 million, but the MegaMillions is also on the rise again with a current jackpot of $37 million and the PowerBall falling a little short of its rival Multi state lottery game at $20 million.

But for this week it will be the European lottery games, EuroMillions and SuperEnalotto which will be top of the bill in terms of prize money this week.
