Arkansas Lottery finally launched

On Monday 28th September the very first tickets were sold as the Arkansas Lottery finally launched.  All participating retailers state wide were allowed to start selling scratchcards from midnight on Monday and various retailers found queues at their doors as people came to buy the very 1st Arkansas Lottery tickets.

With around 100 people waiting to buy lottery tickets at Murphy USA in West Littlerock, lottery officials also created a ceremony at the gas station to celebrate the launch of the Arkansas Lottery.

The scratch-off lottery tickets that are currently on sale are only part of what the Arkansas Lottery will be offering to players. On 20th October there will be more instant lottery tickets available in addition to the four that are currently offered, but until then the Arkansas Lottery offers the current tickets at four different price levels. On 31st October, the Powerball tickets will also come into the fold. The State lottery tickets will go on sale on 14th December 2009.

The four scratchcards that are currently available are, 3 Times Lucky. This games costs $1 and the prizes range from $1 to $3,000. The next ticket available from the Arkansas Lottery is Jumbo Bucks. This scratch-off ticket costs $2 and prizes range from $2 to $25,000. Another $2 ticket is called Arkansas Riches and the prizes for this range from $2 to $20,000. Finally a $5 ticket called, $100,000 Cash Bonanza, offers  prizes from $5 to $100,000.

With people queuing to buy these scratch-off lottery tickets it is inevitable that the Arkansas Lottery will prove to be very popular and it anticipated that there will be much higher volumes of people flocking to buy lottery tickets for both the Powerball and State lottery once they are launched.
