Biggest Unclaimed Lottery Prize To Expire Today

Wednesday December 5th 2012

The biggest unclaimed lottery prize the world has ever seen is set to expire today – unless the winner comes forward at the last minute. The prize, which is worth £63.8 million and was won on the Euromillions lottery back on 8th June 2012, will be distributed into the Good Causes fund operated by the Euromillions if it is not claimed by 23.00 tonight. The Euromillions ticket, which is fast becoming one of the most talked about tickets in lottery history, is set to break records should it remain unclaimed beyond tonight – for all the wrong reasons, and its rightful owner is being called “lottery’s biggest loser”.

However, there are many reasons why lottery tickets can go unclaimed. Often, tickets can simply get lost, often before players have even checked their numbers, leaving a genuine possibility that the winner may not even know they have won. Or, the person who bought the ticket six months ago could have emigrated, become incapacitated or could even be deceased.

We urge anyone who bought a ticket for the Euromillions draw on the night of Friday 8th June 2012 from the Stevenage and Hitchin area of the UK to go through their old tickets, and contact their friends and family who also could have bought a ticket from that area. The winning numbers you are looking for are 5, 11, 22, 34, 40 and the Lucky Stars are 9 and 11. Will those numbers be lucky for you? With just 12 hours to go for this prize to be claimed, we hope they prove lucky for someone, and that this prize goes down in history for all the right reasons.
