Delaware Lottery

The State Lottery Office in Dover is open for in-person prize claims from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday (please call 302-739-5291 to confirm these times before visiting).

DOR ticket cashing service

The Division of Revenue (DOR) ticket cashing service in Georgetown and Wilmington is available by appointment. The Dover DOR is currently closed.

Bookings are scheduled every 30 minutes between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm. To schedule a time, call Georgetown at 302-856-5358 or Wilmington at 302-577-8162.

Other ways to claim a prize

The Lottery strongly encourages redeeming prizes by mail. Retailers can also pay out amounts of $599 and under.

Florida Lottery

Florida Lottery offices remain closed; however, winners can still claim prizes, and claim deadlines have been extended.

  • Claim prizes below $600 at a Lottery retailer
  • Claim prizes of $600 - $250,000 by mail or via the secure drop box at each District Office
  • Claim prizes over $250,000 by mail - send to your closest District Office (for quickest processing) OR to Lottery Headquarters, OR leave in the secure drop box at Lottery Headquarters

Claim a prize using a secure drop box

Players have the option to leave claims in the secure drop boxes located at all Lottery offices. Drop boxes are available between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm ET Monday through Friday (the Pensacola drop box is available from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm CT). You do not need an appointment.

Winners of more than $250,000 must use the drop box at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

Drop boxes are monitored by Lottery Security Officers.

The Lottery will mail your check (if you've won a grand prize, electronic funds transfer is used).

Prize claim documents

Winners must include the following documents in their claim:

  1. Signed original winning ticket
  2. Completed claim form
  3. A copy of an ID such as driver's license or passport issued within the past five years and including a serial number or other identifying number

Claim deadline extension

The Lottery has announced the following prize claim grace periods.

Draw games

Prizes from draws held September 24, 2019 through June 20, 2020, must be claimed on or before the 360th day after the winning draw.

The claim period for prizes won in draws held June 21, 2020 through December 17, 2020 is up to 360 days, depending on the draw date.

For every day after June 20, 2020, the 360-day period will reduce by one day until it reaches 180 days.

Fast Play and Scratch-Offs

For games ending January 22, 2020 through August 1, 2020, prizes must be claimed on or before the 240th day after the end of game date.

Maine Lottery

The Maine Lottery office has moved to a new location and a secure drop box is available for prize claims:

Other ways to claim a prize: Visit a retailer for amounts less than $600, or claim wins of $600 or more by mail.

Maryland Lottery

The Lottery's Baltimore headquarters is open for prize claims of any amount by appointment. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 8:45 am to 4:15 pm ET. Make a booking online or call 410-230-2030 (more dates and times are being added).

Prize claim documents

Players will need their signed winning ticket, and for amounts of more than $600, a photo ID with birth date and a document evidencing SSN are also required. The winner's name must be identical on both documents.

Claim a prize at a casino

The Maryland casinos below are now open to pay out prizes of $25,000 and under. Visit the cashiers' window with the required documentation to claim. Players must be at least 21 years old.

  • Leave claims in the secure dropbox in the lobby of the Montgomery Park Business Center in Baltimore
  • Retailers can pay out $600 and below
  • The Lottery Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations can pay out $5,000 or less.

Claim period extension

There is a grace period to claim prizes that would have expired during the state of emergency that began on March 5. There are still thousands of unclaimed winning tickets that will be paid if they are redeemed within 30 days of the state of emergency being lifted.

Massachusetts Lottery

Claim centers in Braintree, Dorchester, New Bedford, Springfield and Worcester are open for prize claims of $1,000 to $99,999.

The Woburn office is able to process claims of $5,000 and above by appointment - please call 781-935-2668 or 781-849-5555.

Claim centers are open Monday through Friday from 8:45 am to 7:15 pm ET.

The Lottery has implemented a system where the first letter of a winner's last name is assigned a day to claim. View the latest claim dates (more dates are being added).

To maintain social distancing, limited numbers of visitors will be allowed into a building at any one time. Please avoid early morning and lunch times if possible.

Other ways to claim a prize

Players may redeem tickets worth $50,000 and below by mail.

Winners of $100,000 or more should call the Lottery at 781-849-5555 and speak to a Grand Prize Coordinator to make an appointment to claim.

Prize claim documents

All players need their winning ticket to claim a prize. For amounts over $600, these are the required documents:

  • Signed winning ticket
  • Completed claim form
  • Government-issued signed photo ID (driver's license, Mass ID, passport, work or military ID)
  • Proof of SSN (driver’s license with SSN or signed Social Security card are accepted)

Extended claim deadline

The Lottery has extended the claim period for prizes that would have expired from March 19 - September 29, 2020. The new deadline to redeem these tickets is September 30, 2020.

Michigan Lottery

Michigan Lottery claim centers in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Livonia, Saginaw, and Sterling Heights are open for prize claims above $600 through $99,999.99 with an appointment. Please call 1-844-917-6325 to schedule a time - hours are Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm.

Winners may also drop off claims without an appointment Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Prize claim options

Players have the following options to claim a prize won on tickets purchased in-store:

  • $99,999.99 or less: claim by mail
  • Less than $600: claim at a retailer or by mail
  • Over $600, up to and including $99,999.99:
    • Claim by mail, or
    • At a claim center by appointment, or drop off without appointment, or
    • At a Secretary of State branch office, or
    • Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula: Bank Claim Center
  • $100,000 and up OR annuity prizes: call 844-887-6836 and select option 2 to make an appointment to claim in Lansing
  • Prizes that expired during Stay Home, Stay Safe: claim by mail

Prize claim documents

All players must have their original winning ticket to claim. For prizes of more than $600, the following documents are required:

  • Signed original winning ticket
  • Completed Ticket Receipt Form
  • Government-issued photo ID (e.g. driver's license or state ID)
  • Social Security Card (same name as on photo ID)

New Hampshire

The New Hampshire Lottery office is open to process winning tickets of any amount. Bring your original signed winning ticket, completed claim form, government-issued photo ID and proof of Social Security Number. The Lottery will issue a receipt for the claim.

Claims made Monday through Thursday will be processed within 24 hours and the Lottery will mail checks. Claims received on Friday will be processed early the next week.

Tickets are on sale from the vending machines in the Lottery office.

Other ways to claim a prize

Prizes of any value may be claimed by mail, or there is the option to visit a retailer if you've won less than $600.

New Mexico

The New Mexico Lottery office in Albuquerque is open to process prize claims of more than $600 by appointment. To make a booking, please call 505-342-7561 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm MST, Monday through Friday.

There are a number of options to redeem winning NM tickets, depending on value:

  • $99,999 and below: claim by mail
  • $600 and below: claim at a retailer
  • $601 through $99,999: claim by mail or at the claim center by appointment
  • $100,000 and above: claim in Albuquerque by appointment. Payment of $1 million and above may take three weeks or more

Ohio

Ohio Lottery offices are still closed - here are the other options to claim a prize:

  • Up to $599: claim at a retailer
  • $600 through $5,000: claim by mail
  • Up to $5,000: claim at the Cedar Downs or Northfield Park racinos

Claim a prize at a racino

The state's seven racinos are beginning to reopen. At this time, Cedar Downs and Northfield Park are able to process claims for up to $5,000. Please note there is high demand for ticket cashing - call the racino to confirm availability.

Pennsylvania Lottery
