EuroMillions winner from the UK

Monday March 29th 2010

Last week we said how the EuroMillions and SuperEnalotto each had the potential to boast Europe’s biggest lottery jackpots for this week but if both rolled over there would be a combined jackpot of more than €100 million. Well that theory has gone out of the window as one of these jackpots has been won. We are able to reveal that after the draw on Friday a EuroMillions winner from the UK is about to walk away with a massive €39.7 million and we are hoping that the winner will come forward at some point today.

British lottery players seem to feature very well in EuroMillions wins and maybe this is because more players from the UK play this lottery because of the added Millionaire Raffle game, which is not available to players in other participating countries or maybe the fact that EuroMillions offers a much more attractive jackpot than the National Lottery is a feature.

This latest win has created the third largest lottery winner in the UK and if the luck continues for UK players, this list is likely to continue growing.

Lottery officials are currently searching the system to find where the winning EuroMillions ticket was sold which will be make any appeals for the winner to come forward much easier. We hope that there are no appeals but quite often we do see a number of large wins go to good causes because winners have failed to come forward in time. We hope this is not the case here.

If you buy lottery tickets for the EuroMillions and have not yet checked last weeks tickets then the winning numbers are 8, 16, 18, 37, 43 and Lucky Stars 2 and 6.
