Saturday August 28th 2010

It is great to see some of the smaller state lottery games in the US rolling over to produce some amazing jackpots and when news of the winners rolls in, we often hear some fairly amazing stories. A draw which took place on 24th July saw a fantastic $10 million jackpot won, and the news comes to us today that the Florida Lottery winner claims their prize two months after the draw took place. Taking the money in a sump sum this lucky Florida Lottery winner has netted a prize just over $6 million.

The Florida Lottery winner is 64 year old Beverly Samuels of St Petersburg who purchased her Quick Pick lottery ticket from 7 Eleven at 6980 40th St. N in Pinellas Park. The store in question will receive a £30,000 bonus for selling what is believed to be the 65th winning Florida Lotto winning jackpot ticket that has been sold in the county.

Beverly Samuels has not been available so far to comment on her win, so unfortunately we are unable to give any details of how she plans to enjoy her new found lottery fortune.

However, we can bring you an update on the jackpot currently offered by the Florida Lottery. Those of you who buy lotto tickets for the Florida Lotto draw which next takes place on Saturday, will be playing for a huge $15 million jackpot, making it one of the biggest state lottery jackpots in the US at the moment.

The Florida Lottery also offers both PowerBall and MegaMillions which have amazing jackpots on offer too, so this could be a very exciting weekend for lottery players in the state.
