Mega Millions jackpot tops $100mMonday December 13th 2010
The estimated jackpot for tomorrow night’s Mega Millions lottery draw has increased to $104million. Friday night’s game saw seven people manage to match the five main numbers of 23, 27, 33, 44 and 46. However, no one correctly predicted the mega ball which was 36. As a result, the jackpot rolled over for the ninth time, taking it from $88million on Friday, into nine figures.
If just one person was to buy lotto tickets for the next draw and scoop the top prize, it would guarantee them annual payments of millions of dollars over a 26-year period, or alternatively, a cash lump sum of $66.4million.
The Mega Millions lottery jackpot was last won on November 9, when a single player matched all six numbers to walk away with $25million.
Anyone looking for a similarly large jackpot elsewhere might want to consider buying a ticket for tomorrow’s SuperEnalotto draw in Italy. The estimated prize fund currently stands at over €66million ($87.4m).
