Mega Millions Rolls To $550 million

Monday December 16th 2013

The Mega Millions jackpot rolled over for the 21st time on Friday night which means Tuesday’s jackpot is now estimated at a colossal $550 million! However, with tickets expected to be sold at 25 times their usual rate in the lead up to tomorrow night’s draw, it’s highly likely that the final jackpot on the night will rise even higher.

The Mega Millions results for last Friday were 19, 24, 26, 27, 70 and the Mega Ball was 12. Although no player successfully matched all five main numbers and the Mega number to scoop the jackpot, nine ticket holders did win the Match 5 prize of $1 million. The states of Colorado, Connecticut and New Jersey each sold one of the Match 5 winning tickets while New York, Michigan and Florida each sold two.

This is the first time that Mega Millions has had a jackpot of this size leading into the December holiday period so lottery officials are expecting ticket sales to rocket in the lead up to tomorrow’s draw. Already this is the second biggest jackpot in Mega Millions history, following behind the $656 million prize won in March 2012, and currently the fourth largest lottery jackpot ever seen in the US.

However, with excitement mounting and ticket sales increasing by the hour, some officials are even predicting that tomorrow night’s jackpot could top the $656 million mark. Make sure you don’t miss out on your chance to play for this enormous, life changing jackpot by visiting the Buy Tickets page on Lottery.net now. Good luck!
