Much interest in US PowerballFriday November 5th 2010
It has been very exciting in the lottery world for the last few weeks and this seems to be a trend that is set to continue. We have seen some record breaking lottery jackpots offered and won all over the world recently, and it seems that as one is snatched away by a lucky winner there is another waiting in the sidelines offering another fantastic lottery jackpot prize. With the EuroMillions having now been won there will be much interest in the US PowerBall this weekend.
The PowerBall jackpot has not been won since Saturday 18th September, when a lucky player who came from Georgia walked away with the $112 million jackpot. Since then the PowerBall jackpot has continued to rise and after the draw on Wednesday evening, there is a massive $123 million up for grabs. This is by far the highest jackpot on offer by one of the most popular worldwide lottery games today.
The next PowerBall draw will take place on Saturday evening and with the other US multistate game, MegaMillions offering just $16 million for the draw on Friday, it is not difficult to see why many lottery fans will be choosing to buy lotto tickets for the PowerBall this weekend.
Of course there are other state lottery games in the US that also offer fantastic jackpots for those players who like to play a game that has better odds than the PowerBall. One of these is the is the California Super Lotto Plus which is currently standing at $14 million and like the PowerBall it also has a draw taking place on Saturday evening.
