National Lottery winners revealed

Wednesday April 28th 2010

A lottery jackpot  of just under £4.5 million was scooped by a single ticket for the draw which took place on 17th April and the National Lottery winners are revealed as Robert and Susan McIntosh from Aberdeenshire. The couple won this fantastic lottery jackpot after randomly purchasing their ticket as a lucky dip during a fleeting trip to their local supermarket. Little did they know that this off the cuff shopping trip and lottery ticket purchase would turn out to be quite as lucrative as it has for them.

Mr McIntosh did not check his National Lottery ticket until the following evening and dropped to his knees in front of the TV once the realisation of the lottery win had hit him.

The couple have three daughters and also have a large interest in showing Akita dogs. The National lottery win enables them to buy the house of their dreams with plenty of space for their family, also space to pursue their interest in showing their dogs. The youngest daughter of the lottery winners has always wanted to go to Florida and they will now be able to make this dream come true too.

If you buy lottery tickets for the National Lottery draw this evening there is no rollover to play for so the jackpot is currently £2.5 million. However, the EuroMillions draw on Friday has a massive €51 million up for grabs and for UK players this also included the Millionaire Raffle which guarantees a millionaire in the UK every single week.
