Nebraska Pick 4 To Launch on September 21
Monday July 21st 2025The Nebraska Lottery is set to introduce Pick 4 this fall, with tickets scheduled to go on sale from September 21. Find out more about the new daily draw game coming to the Cornhusker State.
How NE Pick 4 Will Work
Nebraska’s version of Pick 4 will follow a similar format to other versions of the game, which is played in many states across the U.S. In each draw, a four-digit combination from 0000 to 9999 is selected at random, with players winning by matching the numbers according to the play type they chose for their ticket.
You can pick from a variety of play styles, including Straight (where you have to match the numbers in exact order), Box (the numbers can match in any order), and Straight/Box (a $1 bet is split between both play types). In Nebraska, you’ll also be able to play Front Pair, Middle Pair or Back Pair wagers, where you can win prizes just by predicting two numbers in the correct positions.
Wager amounts in Nebraska will be fixed at $1 per play. The maximum you can win - $6,000 for a Straight play - is actually higher than the equivalent top prize in most other states. Payout amounts are different for each of the other play types, as are the odds of winning.
Drawings will take place seven nights a week at 9:00 PM CT, using a random number generator rather than a ball machine.
The Nebraska Lottery is giving some free plays away to celebrate the start of the new game. To have a chance of claiming one, you need to play NE Pick 3 between September 14 and September 20; free play coupons will randomly print with some Pick 3 purchases. These can be redeemed anytime between September 21 and October 4.
