The New Jersey Lottery's oldest big jackpot game will get better odds so it’s easier to take home a prize. The Lottery is lowering the Pick-6 number matrix, replacing the current pool of 1-49 with a smaller pool of 1-46.

The change will improve the odds of winning the jackpot to 1 in 9,366,819, down from the current odds of 1 in 13,983,816. The new game will also offer better overall chances of winning any prize.

Each ticket will automatically include a new multiplier feature that can supercharge the value of any non-jackpot prize won by up to 10 times. The current game's multiplier, Xtra, was introduced in 2015 and is an additional purchase, costing $1.00 more per play.

A new option called Double Play will be available for $1.00 more per play and will offer the chance to win up to $250,000 plus other great prizes. Double Play will feature a separate draw held right after the Pick-6 draw, and will use the same numbers and multiplier from the base game ticket.

The Pick-6 enhancements do come with an increased price tag, however - the cost to play will jump from $1.00 to $2.00.

The first new Pick-6 with Double Play drawings will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022. Tickets will be available to purchase starting on Tuesday, April 5.

Pick-6 will continue to have two draws every week, on Monday and Thursday at around 10:57 PM ET. The game will also keep its awesome rolling jackpot that starts at $2 million.
