North Carolina Lottery extends their Millionaire Raffle

Friday September 10th 2010

Many US states hold lottery raffles at various points throughout the year, sometime to mark special occasions. These raffles have proved to be extremely popular with lottery players and news that the North Carolina Lottery extends their Millionaire Raffle ticket sales could be good new for those lucky lottery players who already hold tickets for this game. There were 500,000 of these tickets available from the North Carolina Lottery but by Wednesday afternoon it was discovered that only 201,000 of them had sold which is less than half.

As a result the North Carolina has decided to extend sales in a bid to sell more of these raffle tickets which are normally very popular. The draw which was originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday will now take place on 20th September. Whether there will be a significant increase to ticket sales remains to be seen. However, those of you who have tickets for this lottery raffle from the North Carolina Lottery game, could see the odds of winning one of the three $1 million prizes become much more favorable if sales remain sluggish.

It is thought that the $20 cost is far too high to encourage lottery players to buy a lotto ticket for this game, especially considering the current climate.

The good news is that the North Carolina Lottery has said that it will not be extending the sales further, so regardless of what happens in the run up to 20th September, the draw will take place and those lottery players who already hold lotto tickets will be waiting in anticipation to find out what the final odds of winning actually are.
