One ticket scoops EuroMillions jackpot

Monday December 21st 2009

The eyes of lottery players worldwide and in particular, Europe, have been watching the EuroMillions lottery for the last three weeks as it produced a triple rollover this weekend. The news that one ticket scoops the EuroMillions jackpot of more than £52 million will bring excitement to lottery players in that such a huge prize has been won in the middle of such an expensive period for worldwide lottery players.

It is believed that the winning EuroMillions ticket holder is from France, but has not yet been named and has just 60 days to claim their prize from the French Lottery operators, Francais de Jeux. However, had the lucky ticket holder been from the UK, then this would have produced the biggest ever single lottery win for the UK.

For those players who were hoping to play for a EuroMillions multiple rollover on Christmas day then all is not lost as there are still some other world lottery games with even bigger jackpots to play for. Of course being able to buy lottery tickets online makes it possible to participate in any world lottery game.

There will still be an impressive £15 million to play for on the EuroMillions on Christmas Day, but the biggest European jackpot by far at the moment is the SuperEnalotto which is currently standing at €107.4 million. The two multi state lottery games in the US are also carrying massive jackpots with the MegaMillions lottery currently standing at $162 million and the PowerBall at $106 million, so for those  players who missed out on the EuroMillions, there is still plenty to offer in the way of big jackpots on these other lotteries.
