One UK Winner Bags EuroMillions Jackpot

There will be a buzz around Britain in the coming days after the news that the one UK winner who bags the EuroMillions jackpot. Players in Britain always seem to fair well when it comes to the EuroMillions and the latest record breaking jackpot is no exception. Not only was the £161/€185 million that was won yesterday the highest jackpot ever won, both in Sterling and Euros, but the winner has also become the UK’s biggest single lottery winner. However had a winner been found from the UK on Friday 8th they would have been a staggering £5 million better off!

The lucky UK lottery player matched all five numbers and both Lucky Stars to scoop the fortune after the capped EuroMillions jackpot had continued rolled over for several draws. However, it was not only the jackpot winner that was a lucky in the UK as there were two other players in the UK who won second tier prizes of €2.4/£1.7 million each - a total of 11 players each became millionaires overnight.

National Lottery operators have not yet released any details of the winner at this stage so we are unable to confirm whether the winning EuroMillions ticket belongs to one person or a syndicate, but any details they are able to released should follow very soon. In the meantime, it is very likely that the EuroMillions winner is pondering how they might spend their newfound fortune as well as organising appropriate representation to help manage the financial side of things as well as the media attention that follows a win as big as this.
