The Powerball draw which took place on 10th July 2010 saw one lucky ticket holder walk away with the jackpot which was worth a massive $73.9 million. After a wait of three weeks it has been announced by the Florida Lottery that the PowerBall winner claims their prize and have named her as 35 year old Elizabeth Choras-Hanna of Hollywood. Elizabeth has chosen to receive her PowerBall win as a lump sum which will net her just short of $39 million and she has decided she will share her win with her sister and brother in law.

Quite often we see big lottery winners take their time to claim their win to allow them to digest the news and also take advice before making their claim and the news filtering through to the media and this is the reason why it took the PowerBall winner so long to make her claim.

Elizabeth was not working at the time when she bought her PowerBall lotto ticket from a Publix supermarket at Royal Palm Beach and the store will receive a $40,000 bonus for selling the winning PowerBall ticket.

This lucky winner matched all six numbers on her PowerBall ticket to walk away with this amazing prize which were 20, 21, 27, 28, 56 and the PowerBall was 4.

The next PowerBall draw will take place on 4th August and there is a $20 million jackpot up for grabs. Not quite on the scale of this massive win but still offering a lump sum payment of more than $10 million if anyone is lucky enough to match the winning lottery numbers.
