Third Powerball Win of the Year Goes to Kentucky
Monday April 28th 2025Powerball in 2025 has gotten off to a flyer! With three Powerball wins already this year, all players are keen to see if this trend of consistent jackpot payouts is going to continue in the upcoming draws.

The first win was hit on January 18 where $328.5 million went to an Oregon player, and then on March 29, it was hit again - this time going to a California player who walked away with a staggering $526.5 million! Now, less than a month later, on April 26 - it has been won again…
And the Winner Goes to Kentucky
This latest win happened on Saturday night and was a historic one, with $167.3 million going to a lucky player in Kentucky - making it the largest Powerball jackpot ever won in the Bluegrass State.
The winning ticket was sold at Clark’s Pump N Shop in Georgetown. Although the winners name has not yet been revealed, Kentucky Lottery President and CEO Mary Harvile has come out with a statement saying:
“This is truly another historic moment for the Kentucky Lottery, our retailers, and more importantly, our players”
She also added: “We advise the winner to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a secure location. For a prize of this magnitude, we also encourage the ticket holder to seek financial and legal advice before claiming the $167.3 million Powerball jackpot. The winning ticket holder can claim their prize within 180 days from the date of the drawing."
This is Kentucky's 19th Powerball win and is ranked the largest by far - surpassing the $128.6 million jackpot win in 2009 that was sold at ProTravel Marathon in Georgetown.
Details of the Draw
The winning numbers came out as 1, 12, 14, 18 and 69, plus the Powerball of 2.
There were a total of 510,059 winners on the night but only one was able to take home the grand prize! Even so, a lot of players had a truly incredible weekend, most significantly the 10 players who won $50,000 each!
