The jackpot rolled to its current impressive level because no ticket matched all six numbers in Wednesday’s drawing. The cash lump sum option is estimated at $247.9 million.

The Powerball jackpot has not climbed above $400 million since October 2018. During that exciting run last fall, the jackpot reached an astonishing $687.8 million. It was eventually won on October 27, split between two tickets from Iowa and New York.

The most recent Powerball jackpot hit was a great holiday gift on December 26, 2018 to one lucky winner in New York.

In the most recent drawing on Wednesday, March 6, the winning numbers drawn were white balls 6, 10, 21, 35, and 46, plus Powerball 23 and Power Play multiplier 2X.

There were no jackpot winners in that drawing, but three tickets were Match 5 winners, meaning they matched all five white balls drawn. Two winners in Nebraska and Texas each won $1 million.

The third winner, in Puerto Rico, who had added the Power Play option for an extra $1, netted a $2 million prize, because the Power Play multiplier was 2 for that draw.
