Unclaimed Powerball Prize in Arizona

Saturday October 10th 2009

An unclaimed Powerball prize in Arizona remains after a ticket purchased in Glendale matched five numbers for a $200.000 second prize. As the winner has not yet come forward, the Executive Director for the Arizona Lottery has urged everyone who bought a ticket for the October 3rd draw to re-check their lottery tickets.

This is the fourth ticket in Arizona in the last few days to have won a second tier Powerball Lottery prize and two of the other three Powerball prizes also remain unclaimed according to the Arizona Lottery. Both of these other tickets were purchased on September 30th, one at a Phoenix Safeway at 520W. Osborn Road. And the other at Temp Circle K at 1880 W. University Drive.

With each of these tickets holding a second prize on the Powerball, the Arizona lottery can only urge everyone who has bought tickets for these lottery draws to look them out and check and re-check them. The owners of these lottery tickets are sitting on  potential fortune and would certainly not want to miss the deadline to claim. Although the deadline for making claims is sometime away as these lottery wins are fairly recent, the longer people to take to check their lottery tickets the more likely they are to be mislaid and lost.

As the multi-rollover jackpot for the Powerball lottery has been won, the jackpot has now been reset and people who buy lottery tickets for the next drawing on Saturday will be playing for $25 million.
