Tammy and Cliff Webster, from Oneida, have collected their $316.3 million share of the incredible jackpot.

Their winning ticket, purchased at the Jackson Pointe Citgo in nearby Green Bay, split the top prize with a ticket from California. It was the seventh-highest jackpot in Powerball history.

The two winning tickets both matched all six numbers in the Wednesday, January 5, 2022 draw: 6, 14, 25, 33, 46, and the red Powerball 17.

The Websters chose to take the cash lump sum option of $225.1 million instead of an annuity spread over many years. Their bank balance will grow by $153.9 million after withholdings of $54 million in federal taxes and $17.2 million in state taxes.

"We are sincerely grateful for this incredible event," said Tammy. "We always believed that we had a chance to win if we played and this is a dream come true."

"This is a wonderful blessing, and we are incredibly thankful and most appreciative of this opportunity," Cliff added.

The Websters are both members of the Oneida Nation of Native Americans. Cliff is Oneida, while Tammy has both Oneida and Sioux heritage.

The retailer where the Websters purchased their ticket, Jackson Pointe Citgo, located at 2710 Packerland Drive in Green Bay, received a $100,000 bonus for selling the winner. General Manager Mary Willems expressed her excitement after the win, saying "My heart is racing. I have goosebumps all over … It's just really great for our store, for our community here."

Wisconsin Lottery Director Cindy Polzin congratulated the winners. "I could not be more thrilled for the Websters! It was very exciting to celebrate their win with them," she said. "It's incredible that we get to keep celebrating big wins in our state. This is the fourth major jackpot won in the past four years in WINsconsin."

The state has indeed earned its lucky nickname, with three Powerball and one Mega Millions jackpots hit since March 2019.

Wisconsin players have enjoyed 19 Powerball top prizes since the game's launch in 1992, making the state the fourth most-frequent location for Powerball wins nationwide!

In March 2019, 24-year-old Manuel Franco won a $768.4 million Powerball prize. It was the second-biggest Powerball jackpot ever, and fourth highest lottery jackpot in history. Franco purchased the ticket at a Speedway in New Berlin.

WINsconsin players hit a $22 million Powerball jackpot in June 2020, when two friends from the Menomonie area shared the prize, won on a ticket bought at Synergy Coop Exit 45 in Menomonie.
