Michigan Lottery Releases First $50 Scratch-OffFriday July 8th 2022
The Michigan Lottery is celebrating its 50th anniversary this week by launching its first-ever $50 scratch-off ticket.
The state’s highest-priced instant game also offers players a chance at the biggest prize that lottery fans have seen on a Michigan scratch-off.
"$300,000,000 Diamond Riches" features more than $300,000,000 in total prizes to be won, the highest-ever instant top prize of $6 million, and 50 chances to win on each ticket.
The game offers the following amazing prizes, all of which are still available to be hit:
- Three top prizes of $6 million each
- 100 second prizes of $500,000 each
- 735 third prizes of $2,500 each
The smallest prize available is $50.
Winners of the $6 million grand prize can receive their payout as an annuity of 30 yearly payments of $200,000, or a single cash lump sum of approximately $4.1 million.
Michigan’s 10,500 statewide lottery retailers will also benefit - the new game's introduction brings the highest total commissions ever offered, $30.7 million.

The first drawing will be held on July 20, 2022 and the entry deadline is July 17. The cutoff to submit your ticket for the final drawing is November 13, 2022.
Michigan Joins $50 Ticket Trend
There’s been a growing interest among lotteries nationwide for launching high-price point instant games. Texas kicked things off with the first $50 scratch-off in 2007 and since then Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania and have launched $50 games. In May, the Texas Lottery launched the country’s first $100 scratch-off ticket.Latest News
