Play 4 is a four-digit Connecticut Lottery draw game where you can win prizes between $25 and $25,000 twice every day. Play your way with a selection of play types and bets from $0.50 to $5.00. Match all four numbers drawn to score the grand prize. For even more ways to win, try adding the Wild Ball option to your ticket.
The Day draw takes place seven afternoons a week at 1:57 PM ET. Ticket sales close at 1:45 PM and resume at 2:01 PM. The Night draw is held every evening at 10:29 PM ET. The draw break runs from 10:20 PM to 10:46 PM.
Play 4 gives you the chance to win prizes of up to $25,000. How much you could take home varies depending on your bet and play types and whether you added Wild Ball. Choose your favorite four numbers from 0 to 9 on a playslip, or ask for Quick Pick and the Lottery terminal will pick your numbers at random.
Wagers start at $0.50 and grow by $0.50 increments up to $5.00 per play. Some play types have a higher minimum wager - see the Play Types section for more information.
Decide which draws you wish to play - Day, Night, or both. Choose the Advance Action option on the playslip to enter your lucky numbers in up to seven consecutive draws.

Add the optional Wild Ball feature to increase your chances of winning. The Wild Ball is an extra number drawn in Play 4 that you can replace any of the first four drawn numbers with and win prizes from $14 up to $25,000.
Play 4 features a range of fun play styles that determine how your numbers can make a winning match with the numbers drawn. Here's how to win with each play type:
Straight - Win if you match the four numbers drawn in exact order.
Box - Win if you match the four numbers drawn in any order.
Straight/Box - A Straight bet (exact order) and a Box bet (any order) on one ticket - win on one, or both. Straight/Box plays start at $2.00 and are available in even dollar amounts.
Combo - All potential combinations of your four numbers on one ticket. To win, match one of the combos to the four numbers in the exact order drawn. Combo plays are only available in $0.50 and $1.00 amounts.
Pairs - Select two numbers from 0 to 9 and choose to play one of three options: Front Pair (match the first two numbers), Back Pair (match the last two numbers), or Split Pair (match the first and last numbers). To win, match the two numbers in the correct positions.
The optional Play 4 Wild Ball add-on gives you even more ways to win. Wild Ball doubles the cost of a ticket and you'll need to add it at the time of purchase.
After every Play 4 drawing, a separate Wild Ball Number from 0 to 9 is drawn. Use the Wild Ball number to replace one of the Play 4 numbers drawn, giving you more chances to create a winning combination. Wild Ball doesn't change the numbers you've chosen - instead, you can substitute Wild Ball for one of the CT Lottery's numbers.
*** Here's an example. If your numbers are 1234 and the Lottery draws 1239 with Wild Ball 4, use the Wild Ball to replace the 9 to make the winning set 1234!
A 4-Way play has three identical numbers out of four, such as 1112. This sort of combination can be ordered four different ways (1112, 1121, 1211 and 2111). A 6-Way has two sets of pairs (for example 3344), a 12-Way has two unique digits and two identical digits (such as 5567), while a 24-Way has four different numbers (e.g. 1234). For some wager types, the way you play determines the odds of winning and the prize you can get.
The minimum age to play any Connecticut Lottery game is 18.
You have 180 days from the draw date to claim any prizes won on Play 4.
