Play 3
Play 3 is a three-digit game with daily draws and a top prize of $500 on a $1 wager, plus a choice of fun bet types and bet amounts starting at just $0.50. The Day draw takes place seven afternoons a week, at 1:58 PM ET. Players can buy tickets up to 1:40 PM. The Night draw takes place seven evenings a week at 7:57 PM ET and you can play up to 7:30 PM.
How to Play
Fill out a playslip from a retailer; you can play up to five games per playslip. First, choose your drawing time: Day, Night, or Both. Then select the number of draws you want to play - up to seven consecutive draws. Don't mark a number if you only want to enter today's draw. To enter draws up to a week in the future, mark one or more days.
Choose three numbers from 0 to 9, and mark one in each column. For a Front Pair play, only mark the first two columns. For Back Pair, mark the last two columns. Alternatively, mark Quick Pick and the lottery computer will randomly choose your numbers.
Decide on your bet amount: $0.50 or $1.
Bet Types
Mark the bet type you want to play - this determines how your numbers can make a winning match with the numbers drawn; see the next section for details. Here's how to win on each bet type:
- Straight: Match the three winning numbers in the exact order drawn
- Box: Match the three winning numbers in any order
- Front Pair: Choose two numbers and match the first two winning numbers in the exact order drawn
- Back Pair: Choose two numbers and match the last two winning numbers in the exact order drawn
- Straight/Box: A $0.50 Straight bet plus a $0.50 Box bet on one ticket (combined wager: $1)
- Combination: Equivalent to 3 or 6 Straight bets, with a 3 or 6 times higher wager
