Welcome to Maryland Pick 5. This fun Maryland draw is fast-paced and twice-daily, with every draw giving you the chance to turn a $1 ticket into a $50,000 cash prize. Launched in February 2022, this game offers two daily chances to win and is one of Maryland’s most popular lotteries.
Midday Drawings take place at 12:27 PM from Mon–Fri and 12:28 PM on weekends. Midday ticket sales close at 12:13 PM. Evening Drawings are held at 7:56 PM Mon–Sat and at 8:22 PM on Sundays. Sales close 7:41 PM Mon–Sat and 8:07 PM on Sundays. All times are ET.

he number range goes from 0 to 9 and can be played in any combination you like, even if you want to bet a lucky number five times in a row.
Play types include Straight, Box, and several others. You can even win by matching the first or last few digits. More details can be found in the 'Play Types' section.
You can bet $0.50 or $1.00 per play. The only difference between the two wager amounts is that the $1 prizes are twice the size of the $0.50 prizes. All odds, win-conditions, etc. remain the same.
You can opt to enter your numbers in the Midday or Evening Pick 5 draws, or even Both. Using the options on your playslip, you can enter your play in up to seven consecutive days of draws (14 individual draws if you're playing both Midday and Evening).
Straight - Win Straight bets by matching all five numbers in the exact order they're drawn. A $1 bet wins the top prize of $50,000 at odds of 1 in 100,000.
Box - Match all five numbers in any order. Odds and prizes vary depending on the numbers you choose. You can play 5-Way (11112), 10-Way (11122), 20-Way (11123), 30-Way (11223), 60-Way (11234), or 120-Way (12345). Playing all unique digits has the best odds of winning. Playing fewer Ways gives you worse odds, but a bigger prize should you win.
Front/Back Two, Three, or Four - Pick two, three, or four digits and specify whether you'd like them to match the first or the last digits of the winning number. Win if you get all your digits in the right position. The 3 and 4 options are functionally identical to playing a Straight MD Pick 3 or MD Pick 4 play.
The top prize in Pick 5 is $50,000, which you can win with a successful $1 Straight play.
Pick 5 prizes can be claimed at an MD Lottery retailer, by mail, or at a dedicated prize collection point at the MD Lottery offices or an affiliated casino. The route you take depends on what you've won and where you're located. Check our main Maryland page for more info.
You can't buy tickets or cash in prizes for Pick 5 unless you're 18 or older.
The Front and Back Pair play types have prize odds of just 1 in 100 – the best in the game.
You can probably guess that the number in the games' names indicates how many digits are chosen in each draw. The odds get steeper, but the prizes grow as the number of digits increases. Draws for each game are held separately. Interestingly, Pick 5 allows players to wager on three or four of the digits appearing in drawn order, which is exactly the same as playing a Straight bet in Pick 3 and Pick 4 – same odds and prizes.
For all MD Lottery games, you'll need to claim your prize within 182 days of the draw you won, or else the prize will expire.
