Pick 3 is a fun and simple-to-play draw game from the Maryland Lottery with a top prize of $500. Launched in 1976, Pick 3 offers a variety of bet types and wager amounts, giving players multiple ways to win modest but satisfying prizes. Two draws - Midday and Evening - are held every day. The Midday draw is at 12:27 PM Mon-Fri, and 12:28 PM on weekends. The Evening Draw is at 7:56 PM Mon-Sat, and 8:22 PM on Sundays (Eastern Time).

Simply choose three digits from 0 through 9 on one or more of your playslip's panels. You can make up to five unique plays per playslip. To have the computer randomly choose your numbers, mark "Quick Pick."
Next, decide whether to play your numbers as a Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Combination, or Pair play. The top prize of $500 can only be won with the Straight and Combination play types.
Decide on your wager amount for each play. You have a choice of a $0.50 or $1 play for all bet types except Straight/Box plays, which always cost $1. Combo plays cost more than the other types. Depending on your wager amount, 3-way plays cost $1.50 or $3, while 6-Way plays cost $3 or $6.
Next, choose whether you want to play the Midday draw, Evening draw, or Both. You can select multiple draws, but one ticket will be printed no matter how many draws you select.
Straight - Win if your numbers are an exact match of the winning number drawn.
Box - Win if your numbers match the winning number, regardless of the order they're in.
Straight/Box - If your numbers match the winners in exact order, you'll win the $0.50 Straight and Box prizes together. Match them in any other order to win just the $0.50 Box prize.
Combination - Win if your numbers match the winning numbers in any order. Combinations are like Box plays, except they cost more and have a bigger payout if you win.
Pairs - Pick just two of the three digits and match them in drawn order to win a prize. You can choose either the front two digits or the last two.
Pick 3 is drawn at midday and evening twice a day, seven days a week, so there are plenty of opportunities to win whether your bets are small or big.
Mark "Advance Play" if you'd like to play your chosen numbers for one or more future draws. Simply mark the day you want to start playing, then select how many draws you want to play in "Number of Draws." The Number of Draws may be up to six days from the date of purchase, and you can enter up to 14 consecutive draws when counting Midday and Evening separately.
If you win before all your plays have completed, you can claim your prize right away. You will be issued an exchange ticket for the remaining draws.
