Paying close attention to the table, you'll notice that the odds for each prize level are different depending on how much you wager. If you wager higher amounts, you're more likely to win mid-range prizes at the expense of the lower-level prizes, although the odds of winning the top two prizes are the same across the board.
Even though Cash Pop doesn't follow the traditional lottery format, it's really easy to play and get into. In each of the two daily draws, a single winning number is selected from a pool of 1 to 15. Match it, and you'll win a prize!
To play, select as many numbers, or 'Pops', from 1 to 15 as you like. You can pick just one number, or mark the 'Cover All' option for a guaranteed win - since you've played every number, you're bound to win, but the prize won't necessarily cover the cost of your ticket. In effect, the player gets to choose their own prize odds out of 15. If you'd prefer some random numbers, use the Quick Pick option and the lottery terminal will choose for you.
Select how much you want to wager per Pop. The options are $1, $2, $5, or $10. The minimum prize for each wager amount is 5X your stake, and the maximum is 250X your stake.
How does this actually work? When your ticket is printed, a prize value will be shown alongside each of your chosen Pops. If one of your Pops is a match, you'll win whichever prize is printed on your ticket for that number. These prize amounts are generated at the point of sale, and the odds are weighted slightly differently depending on how much you wager - check the Odds & Prizes section for more detail.
You can enter just the Day draw (2:30 PM), or the Evening draw (9:30 PM), and you can play up to seven consecutive draws. The total cost of your play is determined by the wager amount you have selected, how many Pops you have played, and the number of draws entered.
No matter how much you wager on a Mississippi Cash Pop ticket, the most you can win is always 250X your wager amount. For the highest wager of $10, that would be $2,500.
Using the Multi-Draw feature offered by the MS Lottery, it's possible to enter your plays into the next seven consecutive draws.
Yes, prizes over $600 are subject to taxation and withholdings.
You need to be 21 or older to participate in MS Lottery games.
You'll only be able to claim Cash Pop prizes with an intact ticket that you're in possession of. Think of it the same as a banknote - you can't use it if you don't have it! For partially damaged tickets, you may still be able to claim your prize, but you should contact the MS Lottery directly in this instance.
Cash Pop prizes expire 180 days following on from the date of the draw you won - the same as all other MS Lottery draw game prizes.
