Nebraska Pick 4

Launching in September 2025, Nebraska Pick 4 is a new draw game to the Cornhusker State that offers several play types and the opportunity to win up to $6,000 on a $1 wager. Drawings take place at 9:00 PM CT.

How to Play NE Pick 4

To play Pick 4, there are a few steps to follow:

• Pick a bet type – Choose from six play styles – Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Front Pair, Middle Pair or Back Pair. More details can be found further down the page.
• Choose your numbers – Select a four-digit combination between 0000 and 9999. Each number is drawn from a separate set in Pick 4, so the same one can appear multiple times in a draw.
• Multi-Draw option – Enter your numbers into just the next draw, or multiple drawings in a row.
• Pay for tickets – Pick 4 costs a fixed $1 per wager, so just make sure to purchase your tickets before the cut-off time.

Bet Types

Here’s more information about the play styles that are available in NE Pick 4. The one you choose determines how much you can win, and your odds of success.

• Straight – You must match all four numbers in exact order.
• Box – Match all four digits to win, but the drawn order does not matter.
• Straight/Box – Half your wager goes on a Straight, and the other $0.50 on a Box. You get both parts of the prize if you match the numbers in exact order, or just the Box payout if they appear in a different order.
• Front Pair – Match the first two numbers in exact order to win.
• Middle Pair – To win, you must match the second and third digits in the correct places.
• Back Pair – Win by matching the last two numbers in order.

For Box and Straight/Box wagers, the combination of numbers you pick is also important as there are different ‘ways’ they can be arranged:

• 4-Way – Three numbers are the same and one is different, for example 1112
• 6-Way – Two sets of identical pairs, such as 3344
• 12-Way – One pair of identical digits, and two unique numbers (e.g. 5567)
• 24-Way – For different numbers, such as 8901
